Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Elis Taylor is actress, American stage and screen actress and producer. She is most famous as an actress in films for her role on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She received a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in film, theater, and television. She started her career as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to be a part of numerous television series, mainstream and independent films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also numerous awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. In 1995, she made her debut in the role of Ariel on stage in The Tempest. Apart from Broadway's Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her most well-known work is her role in the series Men of Honor, the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In the world of television, her role in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her the praise of her fellow actors.
