Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American actress and musician. She began by releasing funny, well-written music that tackled topics like race as well as sexuality. Then she expanded her fan base to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. In addition to classical and jazz, Nora Lum began studying hip-hop in her teens. While in her schooling, she specialized in the field of journalism as well as women's studies. She was also a student of Mandarin briefly in Beijing. Following graduation, she decided to focus on music. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet sensation and featured on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album featured other hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC BitcheUSD. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide published in the year 2015, and was another idea. A musician and author was on her resume she set her sights on acting in a third project. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors and Storks. In the year 2018, her breakout role was in Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her new EP "In Fina We Trust".
